When BYD announced "1 second to charge 2 kilometers," and Huawei claimed "15 minutes to fully charge an electric heavy truck," super-fast charging technology seemed to become the "savior" of the new energy vehicle era. However, data from the National Energy Administration shows that as of March 2025, among the 3.9 million public charging piles nationwide, the proportion of ultra-fast charging piles is less than 1%; in Guangzhou, out of 200,000 charging piles, only 21 are non-manufacturer-built ultra-fast charging piles, equivalent to one ultra-fast charging pile for every 9,523 charging piles.
